Resuscitation Unit for newborns of NICU for the Lviv regional perinatal center
The Association of Neonatologists of Ukraine represents national professional association of specialists in neonatology and neonatal surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, medical genetics and other disciplines.
The main purpose of the association activity is to support the scientific and practical solution of modern problems of medical care for newborns, to improve the level of qualification and to protect the social, economic, creative, cultural and other common interests of the members of the Association
Currently, they are doing a job in very difficult conditions due to the direct threat to the life and health of their patients, medical staff and due to the threat of artillery shelling and the extremely complex pathology of pregnant women. They continue to provide quality medical care to premature babies and newborns with severe perinatal pathology, who need highly specialized equipment. The perinatal centers really need resuscitation tables, breathing equipment, EEG, monitors and а lot of other modern equipment, because the number of sick children in the neonatal intensive care unit increased during the war.
They very much ask you to pay attention to the need in а full resuscitation place for newborns of NICU for the Lviv regional perinatal center ( 4534 Births during 2023, premature newborns – 553, there were 2000 temporarily displaced women), One resuscitation place consists of 8 pieces of equipment. The cost of resuscitation is placed at 101,000 GBP.
