INDEPENDENCE DAY OF UKRAINE 2024
We invite all Ukrainians and those who care about Ukraine to join us on August 23rd from 9:00am to 12:00pm for the celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day at College Green, Bristol, BS1 5TR
In attendance: Cllr Paul Goggin, Deputy Lord Mayor and Cllr Tony Dyer, Leader of Bristol City Council
UKRAINE’S INDEPENDENCE DAY
Friday, August 23rd 2024
Timings:
9:00 AM to 9:30 AM – Gathering, speeches
9:30 AM – national anthem, moment of silence, Raising of the Ukrainian flag near Bristol City Council, speeches
10:00 AM to 10:10 AM – Live chain “CHAIN OF UNITY” – all of us, linked together, will demonstrate our belonging and unity.
10:10 AM to 12:00 AM – art exhibition, bandura players, Ukrainian singers Singing circle, children activities, refreshments in a friendly atmosphere with Ukrainian pastries and treats from restaurant Ukrainian Soul at Bristol City Hall (opposite College Green)
Please help children create drawings that we can combine into one large poster at Bristol City Hall.
Don’t forget to wear embroidered clothing, wreaths, sunflowers, flags, and posters, along with anything associated with Ukraine. Invite your hosts and all supporters welcome.
This year, the posters should convey words of gratitude to the British people.
